General information:

  • $100 per team, 9 players maximum per team. (8 players will play)
  • All 9 players will get a free T-shirt. $10 for additional T-shirts.
  • TTA/TANA will not supply bats and and Pads. We only supply balls and wickets
  • We will be using hard tennis balls
  • We will be accepting up to 24 teams. (registrations will close once we hit 24 teams)
  • 16 over match. (8 overs per team)
  • Each team is guaranteed to play 2 games not including playoffs. (top teams will play more)
  • In case of a tied match, there will be a super over per team to decide.
  • Each game should be finished in 1 hour 10 minutes, including a innings break.
  • All teams should be on time for their matches. If one team is late for their scheduled time. The opposing team will be declared as winners.
  • If both teams are not on time for their match. The match between the teams will be considered done.
  • Teams should be at the pitch by 6:30 A.M
  • After each game we will announce the next 2 teams and they have to be ready for their game.
  • Winning team will earn 2 points. While the losing side will earn 0 point per match.
  • In case of Drawn or cancelled a game then both teams will get 1 point each.
  • In the field umpire decision is final
  • Teams with the highest score at the end of the match WIll be the winner.
  • TTA/TANA is not responsible for any injuries that occur during this tournament
  • Under any circumstances in decision making, TTA/TANA makes the final decision. Teams should not argue.

 

Bowling Rules:

  • There is no limit per bowlers on a team. But each bowler is only allowed to bowl 2 overs. But they can not be 2 consecutive overs.
  • Wicket Keeper will not be allowed to bowl.
  • Bowlers may not bowl underarm.
  • 4’s and 6’s will be counted regularly. (4 is when the ball hits the boundary, 6 is when the ball goes over the boundary)
  • No balls and wide balls will be counted as 1 run.
    • No ball is when the bowler’s foot surpasses the bowling crease
    • No balls are also counted when the bowler bowls the ball above the batsman’s shoulders.
  • LBWs (Leg Before Wicket) will not be counted.

 

Batting Rules:

  • Batsmen bat as long as they can before getting out.
  • Leg byes and byes are not allowed.
  • Overthrow runs are not counted.

 

Tournament Format:

  • There will be 8 groups.
  • Group A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H
  • 3 teams per group.
  • Topper from each group advance to the playoffs.
  • Topper will be decided in the following pattern
    • Team who gets highest points
    • If there is a tie in the highest point then team with highest net run rate will be considered
    • Even if there is a tie in net run rate in that group then team will be picked by toss/lottery

  • Match 2: Winner of group B Vs Winner of group G
  • Match 3: Winner of group C Vs Winner of group F
  • Match 4: Winner of group D Vs Winner of group E

 

  • Semi-Finals:
  • Semi-FInal 1: Winner of Match 1 V Winner of Match 4
  • Semi-Final 2: Winner of Match 2 V Winner of Match 3
