The Tri-State Telugu Association, founded in 1984, is a long-standing organization with four decades of commitment rooted deeply in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Our primary mission has always been to preserve, maintain, and perpetuate the rich heritage of Telugu people. In collaboration with various organizations, we’ve successfully hosted numerous workshops and sessions that have greatly benefited our community. We proudly operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
This year, we have an exciting lineup of activities planned. We will be celebrating significant festivals such as Sankranti, Ugadi, Sri Rama Navami, Bathukamma, and Deepavali annually. Moreover, we will participate in service events like India Day, Yoga Day, Earth Day, food packing activities, and blood drives to continually nurture the spirit of Telugu culture among our members and their children. As we mark our 40th anniversary, we plan to commemorate it with a special event.
We are also organizing various physical and mental activities, including badminton, volleyball, a 5K run, chess, and spelling bees, to promote a healthy lifestyle.
We’ve invited Telugu film stars, singers, literary scholars, and social activists from both the United States and India to foster cultural exchange. Our theme for TTA-2025 is to establish a platform where younger generations can connect with Indian culture and heritage, particularly by reintroducing Telugu Jana Pada—folk art—to Telugu children here.
Continuing our tradition, Team-2025 aims to conduct informative sessions to educate current residents about updates and advice regarding changes in visas, immigration, taxes, mental health, and more. We strive to maintain close collaboration and foster friendships with other social, cultural, and community organizations.
Our membership has expanded significantly over the past few years, and our mailing list now includes over 2,500 subscribers. We aim to grow this number substantially.
