Welcome to 2017 Chess Championship conducted by Tri-State Telugu Association (TTA) in partner with Telugu Association Of North America (TANA). Games will be held on 10th Dec at Rasmussen South, Schaumburg Central Library, 130 S Roselle Rd, IL 60193.

The history of chess goes back almost 1500 years. Chess game originated in northern India in the 6th century AD and spread to Persia. When the Arabs conquered Persia, chess was taken up by the Muslim world and subsequently, through the Moorish conquest of Spain, spread to Southern Europe.
