The Tri-State Telugu Association (TTA) is an organization-integrating people of Telugu origin residing in state of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. This is a non-profit organization formed in 1984 with an intention to coordinate, communicate and help Telugu people living in Tri-State area. Our goal is to create an environment that brings families together and live in an environment that resembles our home. Our attempts to help families has ensued very positive results all over the country. This organization emphasizes the importance of cultural, educational, social and charitable interactions among members and families.



To foster friendship and understanding among Telugu people. To preserve, maintain, and perpetuate the cultural heritage of the people of Telugu origin in North America. To assist and propagate cultural, educational, social, economic, and community affairs of the people of Telugu origin in North America. To promote establishment of Telugu organizations in regions of North America where there are no such organizations. To organize periodic Telugu literary, cultural, and educational conferences throughout the North American continent to promote the objectives of TTA.



As of Dec 31, 2014, the total members in TTA are more than 500, making it the largest Telugu organization in the Tri-State area. It encompasses wide rage of people including professional doctors, scientists, engineers and computer software and hardware experts. TTA has the history of conducting two large Telugu conventions efficaciously in 1995 and 2009, which are considered as the largest conventions. TTA members routinely guides and helps visitors of greater Chicago area.

TTA not only works with families and help community members, but also embraces commemorating festivals including Sankranti, Holi, Ugadi, Deepawali and Dusshera to inculcate and nurture our rich values and traditions to next generation. Festival preparations and rituals extend 1-3 days clearly demonstrating our commitment and attentiveness to our traditional culture.

Besides festivals, TTA also organizes vanabhojanalu and picnics, which are fully loaded with events for all ages with an intention to create a sense of togetherness in the community living in Tri-state area. TTA also conducts events, intellectual discussions by bringing distinguished personalities from Indian music, cinema, administration and politics.
